The Drive In

The Brazos Drive-in movie theater represents a nostalgic era of America that is unfortunately fading away all too quickly. Who can forget their first trip to a drive-in movie? Whether it was date night with your girlfriend or just hanging out with all of your buddies, the drive-in was the place to be on Friday night.

The Brazos drive-in movie theater is the only drive-in theater still operating in Texas. You can take the family or bring a group of friends to hang out. Just put the kids in their pajamas, so they are good and comfy for the evening, and you are all set for a great night at the movies. They have a concussion stand but don’t have many varieties of stuff to eat.

They show two movies every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Bring blankets and pillows to stay comfy in your car or out. What I mean about in or out is that some people sit on top of the cars or on the ground, but let me tell you what bring as much comfort as you can.

There is a lot of room in the theater or outside. The screen is huge and you can always see. Now for cars I would bring a big car, because you can have more room. Mini-vans and Pick Up Trucks are perfect because they sit up a little higher and of course, a car with a bench seat is great for snuggling.

Put this on your list of things to do. If you are going to embrace living in Granbury Style, taking in a Drive-In movie, enjoying the comfort of a Summer night with family and friends, is an experience you will never forget.
